Pet Policy

At Arbor Ridge Apartments, we recognize that for many tenants having a pet is very therapeutic and is an important consideration when choosing a new home. We are happy to offer you the opportunity to bring your pet to your new home. We established a few rules that will clearly define your role as a pet owner at Arbor Ridge Apartments.

Two pets per apartment are allowed. A pet is defined as a domesticated dog or cat of a species that is commonly kept as a
household pet in the community. The pet must be at least one year old and less than 25 pounds at maturity, with the exception
of service animals.

Only domesticated, common household pets will be allowed. Pets of vicious or aggressive disposition deemed by the landlord to be potentially harmful to the health and safety of others are prohibited. Also prohibited are Doberman Pinscher's, Pit Bulls, Rotweillers and any mixed breed dog with identifiable characteristics specific to one of these breeds.

All dogs and cats must be spayed or neutered.

PET OWNERSHIP RULES

A tenant who desires to acquire a new pet or bring a pet with them to Arbor Ridge Apartments shall sign a pet addendum and provide to the landlord:
       a. An identifying description of the pet accompanied by a photograph.
       b. Certificate of spaying or neutering and the inoculations required by law.
       c. Pet security deposit of four hundred dollars ($400).

The tenant shall be responsible for cleaning up after their pet on Arbor Ridge Apartment property. Pet waste shall be bagged and disposed of in appropriate trash receptacles immediately.

At all times when outside of the apartment, dogs must be controlled on a leash. Other pets shall be in suitable portable cages when outside the apartment. No animal shall be tied or chained outside an apartment.

Dogs and cats shall wear a collar with tags identifying the pet and its owners with telephone number. This tag shall be required in addition to license, rabies vaccination and any other tag required by law.
